Welcome to Spring into Phab

Spring Into Phab is a multi-activity group run by volunteers, some of them have a learning disability who want to be able to make a difference in the community. Spring Into Phab was founded in November 2015. We are Affiliated with Phab.

A group of happy people, in the countryside. Some are wheelchair users.

What we do

We plan monthly social outings for people with Learning Disabilities & Autism. The socials are meals and we tend to do them in our local area. We arrange other social events like bowling and  cinema trips.

All volunteers are DBS checked and have up to date Safeguarding Training. If you are interested in joining don’t hesitate to contact us! We are a lovely friendly team!

Phab inspires and supports disabled and non-disabled children, young people and adults to make more of life together. Phab has been working to build an inclusive world for over 66 years, supporting a national network of Phab Clubs and running Phab Adventures, bringing together disabled and non-disabled people of all ages in a spirit of togetherness, fun and creating spaces and places where where everyone belongs, everyone’s involved because Inclusion Is Phab.

Spring into Phab works closely with Phab National.  We have Rebecca Hargreaves (National Projects and Development Manager) on our Team. She is an asset to our team.

Testimonials

By Christopher Purcell

“This group was a life saver when we first started, my daughter found a safe and fun place to be once a week. Covid and lockdown did nothing to help this group and everything changed after that.
We still had the group and they do an amazing job of organising, fundraising and rallying everyone together. They run lots of nights out and different events, that anyone can attend. We’ve made many friends through this group and the fabulous effort Bradley has always put into it with a huge smile on his face! I think this group is a vital missing link for lots of young people.”
